Installing SBSettingsToggles without installing SBSettings (how to)

After researching and looking through the dependencies of SBSettingsToggles I found out that the latest update made it require the new Airplane Toggle. But the Airplane Toggle also depends on SBSettings.

This is the reason why they all get installed when you only select SBSettingsToggles.

If you are like me you and only want to use the toggles with Activator directly you need to do this:

download the deb file directly from the BigBoss repo. http://moreinfo.thebigboss.org/

Open up the deb with some sort of archive software. I recommend 7zip. Drill down to this location in the archive :
\data.tar.gz\data.tar\.\var\mobile\Library\SBSettings\

You will see a few folders. The only ones you need are the themes and toggles (not 100% sure if you need the themes folder). SSH into \var\mobile\Library\SBSettings\ folder and copy those folders there.

Reboot/respring the phone, and they will be available in the activator menu. Also Cydia does not force you to update those files since it doesn't know it's installed.

Hope this helps anyone who was getting annoyed about the latest update like I was.

You can also just drop the deb files into:
/private/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
(might need to create the directories above)

and let Cydia do the installing when the phone reboots.

but then cydia will know it is installed. Then the next time you decide to install another thing from cydia, it will require you to install sbsettings.

I am having the problem of installing sbsetting and going through a loop,

I got iphone 3g, jailbroke and unlock with redsn0w_win_0.9.6b6 having firmware ver 4.2.1

when I tried to install sebsetting, got an error that I need to install sbsettingtoggle as well.
here what I have downloaded:
libhide_2.0.8.deb
mobilesubstrate_0.9.3367-1_iphoneos-arm.deb
sbsettings_toggle_pack_3.0.13.deb
shell-cmds_118-6_iphoneos-arm.deb

after trying to install sbsettings_toggle_pack_3.0.13.deb got an error of this file has dependency, so I downloaded of following:

brightnessactivatoraction_1.1.deb
libactivator_1.4.6_iphoneos-arm.deb
preferenceloader_2.0.2-1_iphoneos-arm.deb
sbsairplanetoggle_2.1.deb


now I can not install sbsairplanetoggle_2.1.deb,
nor
sbsettings_toggle_pack_3.0.13.deb

as you explained on top, I did downloaded the sbsairplanetoggle_2.1, unzipped it, and there were two flolders, themes and Toggles, but on my iphone in the Var/Mobile/Library/Sbsetting/
these two folder already exist.


anyone willing to help?
I don't have wifi and I use Cyder2 to to find and download packages from Cydia, and upload files to my iphone using either iphone pc suite or iphone browser, and then use MobileTerminal to install them.

copy the contents from both folders into the appropriate folder.

I"m assuming inside the toggle folder there is another folder called something like "airplane". Copy that folder into the toggles folder onto your phone.

Same thing with themes, but put them in the theme folder.
