My iMac's optical drive broke a few months ago, and since I can share everything between it and my macbook I've just used the macbook as a crutch for where the iMac's disk drive lacks.

Is there ANY way for my to install snow leopard on this driveless iMac??

Thanks,
Joe

I went to Best Buy, picked up a new external LG DVD drive on sale, and haven't had any issues.

Used that drive to boot Snow Leopard and Install it.

Just skip all the other steps in the USB thread above and install directly from the DVD drive.
