Installing SSD in Penryn 2.5 MBP, possible ?

Hello everyone,

I just purchased a 2008 15" MBP from the refurb store and would like to know whether it's possible to install a ssd, anyone know ?

Yep, I've got one installed in mine. Just be prepared to unscrew a lot of little tiny screws. Here's a guide: ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/MacBook-Pro-15-Inch-Core-2-Duo-Models-A1226-and-A1260-Hard-Drive-Replacement/670/1

Installing it on your own may or may not void your warranty, so if it needs to go in for service I'd recommend swapping the original drive back in.

It is. But the Penryn is limited a bit by to older SATA bus.
Still it will be a nice speed increase
