I did a search but could not find exactly what I wanted.

First off im doing the popular SSD upgrade.

I got my self a Samsung 830 Series 128gig SSD, 2nd HDD Caddy for the Drive, then a external enclosure for it as well.

On top of this I got 8GB Crutial Ram kit.

A few questions...

I plan on putting my SSD into the optical bay in the new caddy. I will then install the OS on that drive.

Then I will run the migration assistant and move all the apps and programs to the SSD via a time machine backup, then set it as the main boot drive...is that all?

Is there a write up or how to anywhere? Is it fairly straight forward? I have never installed ram or even upgraded a HD before.

Also I have read about installing hdapm on the SSD, is this done after the fact?
