Hi

I just bought a Samsung 850 ssd drive, I will replace it with my main hdd drive, but install the old hdd instead of the dvd drive.

The ssd is only 250 gb and the old hdd was 1tb. I would like to do a clean install of osx on the ssd, and keep the files that I have on the hdd. Is it possible to just delete osx from the old hdd but keep all files without messing things up? I mean, could I just delete everything, except all my personal files and work. So I would be deleting system files etc.

I tried googling the web and the forums here, but could find an answer.

Best regards
Anders

There is no way to remove OS X off the hard drive while keeping the files intact short of cloning the hard drive to an external, wiping the drive, and manually recopying the data back onto the drive.
