iPod touch installing summerboard on Intel Mac

I'm confused on how you would install the summerboard on an Intel Mac because on the manual instructions it tells you to this....

MANUAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Copy the files to your iPhone as follows:

SummerBoard.framework -> /Library/Frameworks/SummerBoard.framework
SMBPrefs.app -> /Applications/SMBPrefs.app
Themes -> /var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes
com.apple.SpringBoard.plist -> /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist

Make sure that the plists permissions are as such:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 704 Oct 9 20:00 com.apple.SpringBoard.plist

Reboot iPhone, enjoy!

BUT the famous youtube tutorial done on a PC is a 15 minutes process. Should I follow the manual instructions or the youtube tutorial, if I want to install it using a mac?

Hmm I think you use CyberDuck to transfer the files?

just tried that but it gave me this

err try installing it on your ipod touch first, it will make your dock go to the top, then unistalling it using the installer.app then using ssh (cyberduck is quite good) cop those files

SummerBoard.framework -> /Library/Frameworks/SummerBoard.framework

this should work, then summer board will work. I didnt check the permissions thing, (didnt know how lol)

Permissions in cyberduck are messed up. WinSCP is really good for that cause. Right-click... properties.

yea can anyone explain a clean way of installing this, ive have done it both manually and thru installer.app and both times a get a top viewing dock

ps. i have no idea how to write the persimissions
