Nope as far as I know Toast is your only option. But I do have to say that Toast 8 is a fantastic bit of software so if you do end up buying it you do get something good out of the deal :).

right, so i got a copy of toast and installed it. When i try to mount the .toast file it does nothing.

When i put the cd in with the .toast file on i right click it and choose open with toast.

It then opens and i have a choise of select or mount. I presume in order to install it i need to choose mount. When i do this nothing seems to happen. Can someone shed some liht on this for me?

thanks

I've never tried opening a .toast directly from a cd, so try this: copy the file to your desktop, then open Toast. On the left side, choose Copy From Disk Image, then select your file. Mount it, and see if it works that way. Hope it works!

I'm in total agreement with Cromulent :D , Toast 8 is Fantastic, well worth investing in ;)

i got it sorted in the end, i just dragged the icon from the cd into the apps folder and then opened it from there. Worked a treat. Thanks for your responses as usual i can trust the mac rumors crew for real good quick advice
