Installing Ubuntu on MacBook Pro 13

I have been having trouble installing ubuntu (xubuntu etc) on my Mac. I have been able to burn the cd just fine. The problem is when I try to boot from it the Ubuntu loading screen appears then after a while it will go black and say it isn't a medium it can boot from.

Help

Also how do install it using BootCamp cause I'm not going to be using on a virtual machine.
