Hey all,

I was trying to install Windows 8 tonight on my rMBP with the Bootcamp manager (5) (using a USB drive). All was going well until right after the Macbook reset to begin installation, it would freeze on a black screen.
Turning the MBP off and booting while holding Option, I had a Windows partition (which did nothing when loaded) and a EFI, which would then give me an error message of no Boot Device connected.
I couldn't find a resolution for the problem, but worked it out. I turned off all of my external storage other than the usb which was being used to install Windows, and there we go. Installing.

Thought I'd share in case anyone ran into the issue later on.

Cheers
