Installing Windows 7 in Target Disk Mode ?

Hi,

I am trying to install Windows 7 on my 24" iMac. But the DVD drive it playing up and is not accepting the CD. I am wondering if there was a way I could use my Macbook to install it over Firewire or something similar ? Even USB ?

Any help would be appreciated !

Not sure but are you inserting the disc in the right way? Are you using a store bought disc or a burned disc?

Store bought. The DVD player is playing up though

You could try to create a bootable W7 installation on a USB stick if this is possible with W7.

Target disk mode won't work.

Otherwise, finally take care of your DVD drive (external options are cheaply available).
