Installing Windows XP on Parallels 3 from an external HD.

Hi there.

I want to run Windows XP on my iMac using Parallels 3. But, I no longer have the installation CD and the computer no longer functions, but the HDD works fine. I was wondering if I could use it as an external HDD and use that to install Windows XP on Parallels. I'd like to have my old files still intact.
