I've got a few .pkg files that I'd like to install, but I don't have permissions.
Is there a way I can get around this without the admin name and password? I don't have access to Applications, either.
I usually just drag the programs into a seperate folder so I don't have to keep the disc image. =D If anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. And if you need to know what I'm trying to install, it's Mac MSN 8. :p

If you don't have the admin password, then it's probably not your Mac. Ask the owner's permission before you install anything.

It's a Mac given to me for school, and I've been told by teachers and network admins that we can install what we want, outside of school.

Sounds pretty sketchy. As GGJstudios says, ask them for the password. If that really is the situation, they should have no problem with giving you the password.
