ok, so here's my problem- when I installed Snow Leopard recently, I opted to not include X11 as one of the "optional" components, and now I am unable to run one of my old occasional-use applications (assuming this is because I don't have X11 available). what I need to know is whether it is possible to simply add that onto my current SL install or if I need to do a complete re-install in order to gain access to the additional components again.

thanks in advance, either way!

I'd say it was possible to install X11 later, if you insert the CD and load the optional installs option - note you don't want to install Xcode or the developers tools.

thanks for the suggestions guys, I went ahead and installed X11 via the Snow Leopard Install DVD and everything works fine now... I figured that would be the best way to go about it, but I just wanted to make sure.
