I have an iPod Touch 2nd Gen. I've had this problem ever since I first got installous I think on the version below iOS 4.0, when I try to download an app from installous, usually a big one some random place it completely exits out of installous and stops the download, and I have to restart on it. This one app I tried it like 8 times and finally got it to work just to find out when I launch it it just crashes the app
Is there a fix of any kind for this? It's so frustrating..

But this is the iPod Touch "Hacks" section...

Hacking definition:
a. Informal To alter (a computer program): hacked her text editor to read HTML.
b. To gain access to (a computer file or network) illegally or without authorization.
Hacking = Piracy so basically this is the iPod Touch Piracy section... Right?

Thing is, jailbreaking is legal. Stealing apps, isn't. ;)

Agreed with above... Its a criminal downloading and installing cracked apps, its stealing. If I stole I'd be way to scared to post about it on this website

Oh, good point. In that case, go ahead and keep bringing it up. We'll just sit back and see how it goes ;)

You realize that a LOT of developers read MacRumors, right? You also realize that Installous takes a LOT of money away from developers, right? So why on earth would you try to ask for help stealing apps when the people who work hard to create them are members here?

I never said jailbreaking was illegal, HACKING is illegal. So why would they have a section about hacking if your not allowed to talk about illegal activity?

uberamd: They get enough money.

hacking isn't necessarily illegal. and hacking != piracy. jailbreaking = a form of hacking.

most of these developers aren't big corporations. they're just normal guys who are trying to make some extra money. How would you feel if you were working at whatever job you had, and random kids just stole part of your paycheck every week?

I second this.

"Hacks" generate a somewhat negative thought to readers, if macrumors didnt want piracy, why name the section hacks? instead of mods or something else.

macrumors of course wants more traffic to their site by using "Hacks" instead of a less not as controverial name.
