Hello,

It's very important to me to receive certain emails (gmail) as soon as possible, so I've been trying to figure out how to speed up checking and delivery in Mail.

Since I use GPush on my iPhone, I actually receive new gmails about 15-30 seconds sooner on my phone. Is there any way to get similar push email on my desktop so that it arrives as close to instantly as possible?

I've reduced the check time in Apple Mail to one minute and checked "Use IDLE command" but the iPhone is still a lot quicker.

I'd appreciate any advice you can give me.

Thanks,

Michael
