Insufficient Privledges?

Right So I deleted something from my External hard disk, and when I go to empty trash it says that I have insufficeint priveledges to delete this item.

Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

I had some problem with the folders on this drive as it was originally used on windows, and some folders were locked for editing, which could only be undone by changing it on windows.
