I'm hoping someone may be able to help me with this, as I am struggling to find a reason for this. I have a Mid 2014 retina MacBook Pro with the Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB integrated card, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M discrete card.
I've been playing a game (Football Manager 2019) for a few weeks, and the Mac always selects the discrete card, as it should. However, I find that I have to reboot the whole system once a day as the graphics get very shuddery and make the game unplayable if I haven't rebooted for a few days.
As an experiment, I downloaded gfxCardStatus just to see how the game performed on the Intel Iris, and it performs MUCH better than the Nvidia - even following a reboot.
Clearly this shouldn't be the case, so what can I do to fix this?
