Intel Centrino Atom Released - To be used in iPhone?

Have you looked at or read the specs on these Atom processors, and where they're headed? It's impressive stuff, don't just write it off.
Some Atom vs. ARM info. I think Intel have a little way to go to get the TDP similar to the ARM architecture:

I don't understand. Is it the general consensus that the atom is too weak to power the iphone?
If it is then how would it power a potentially more versatile and larger web tablet/slate computer.....thingy?
I think it is more of an issue with power consumption and consequently, battery life. Atom definitely is powerful enough for the iPhone.
If battery life is not an issue, the atom processor would be the best thing for the iphone. It is more powerful- far more powerful than the arm processor. It will enable a single "stack" from the mac pro all the way down to the iphone- it will literally be able to run leopard.
No. 3rd gen - maybe. Think tablet first, then anything in 2009 might be possible
