Ready to throw my PC out the window and go Mac, but was curious whether the various spyware/virus issues are a problem when running PC programs on an intel equipped imac?
thanks in advance for any assistance,
Scott

If you run windows in boot camp, you need virus protection. If you run windows in a virtual environment - vmware, parellells or virtual box. You need virus protection. Personally i like NOD32. others may have a different view

If you start up in Boot Camp, what you have is a 100% genuine Windows PC, which is 100% susceptible to Windows viruses and threats.

If you use a virtual machine of Windows, in something like Parallels or VMWare Fusion, the virtual machine is vulnerable to Windows threats. OS X is not.
