Since some of you are so crying over why in the world MBA has core 2 duo, I hope some of you get your wishes and see MBA will got sandy bridge processor this year and get intel HD 3000.

Intel HD 3000 will be a huge update from nvidia 320M like some of you said.

...

I own an ultimate MBA 11" and to be honest.... not worries about possible updates... the machine its ok for its (mine) purposes.... maybe MBA 13" owners be more concerned about that...

It isn't like the MacBook Air is intended for speed demons. The graphics in the Arrandale i3s were awful so I don't fault Apple for sticking with the Core 2 Duo last year, but I'd be fine recommending a Sandy Bridge-equipped Core i3 MacBook Air if that's what's in the cards this summer/fall. It would be a no-brainer if we get the Core i5 that's in the 13" Pro. My main question is whether we will get Thunderbolt to replace the mini DisplayPort.

I certainly want Thunderbolt in the next MBA so that I can use my FW devises.

It's obvious the next Macbook Airs are going to get Sandy Bridge. When they get Sandy Bridge, they're going to get Intel HD 3000 graphics.

Unless Apple has a huge stockpile of Core 2 Duo's laying around.

The Intel 3000 is not a respectable tradeoff to get the i5/i7 processor.

Honestly, since buying my Air I've been shocked how little of a bottleneck the Core2Duo is in the first place. I had both an i7 15" MacBook Pro and an i5 Windows 7 machine and the 13" Air is every bit as functionally similar as far as I can tell --- I had to re-set up the i5 laptop to give to a friend and if anything it felt slower. The solid-state drive is an astonishing improvement.

I also am disappointed Apple dropped Nvidia completely. ATi/AMD's support for OpenGL has never been on par with Nvidia's and given that the crux of all gaming on OS X needs to be in OpenGL... yeah.

spot on...the graphics is fine for business apps and making money with it

Well Apple is big enough to make them change their minds on that. If not in numbers then in media exposure.

It certainly won't be the exact same one. MBA's always use low voltage / ultra low voltage CPUs. I can't see them change that considering the much smaller batteries in them.

What is wrong with you. Who said intel gpu will be better

Bunch of fanboys who cried about Core 2 duo. They told me intel GPU is much better than Nvidia. Sandy bridge was all that matters. That's what they said.
