intel imac ram the same as macbook ram?

Looking to sell my factory 512 stick from my intel imac in the marketplace and i just want to make sure this is the same ram and will workin macbook/macbook pro.

I am nearly positive that it is, but I just wanted to confirm this for a potential buyer. So a quick "yes" would be great.

yes... for future reference you can look at the techincal specs on apple.com and it will tell you the type of ram it has.
