Intel iMac Upgrade Superdrive NOT RECOGNIZED

Hello friends, this is my first time in the forum and i really need help! I have a 20" intel iMac, the first generation with intel chips from early 2006, and around 6 months ago my superdrive died, so dead a piece of it came out with the last dvd it read, and the complication of the situation is that i live in Venezuela and we dont have mac support, at least not afordable, so the replacement was up to me...last week my brother traveled to miami and brought me a drive i bought online from OWC, i wrote them and explained my case and they told me to get this drive http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Panasonic/MG5SL8XDL/, so i got the drive a few days back and instalded yesterday, everything fit perfectly fine, but after starting the sistem the drive is not recognized by the system profiler, it appears no where, but its getting powered cause i tried inserting a cd and it was sucked in, and is still there. Well thats my case, any suggestions??? PLEASE!!
