Hello

When do you think they will release a mini with Intel? Aren't the core duo chips too expensive to be used in the mini? Which chip do you think its going to use, Ive heard Intel is coming out with some new chips later...

thank you

Maybe they'll release a Core Duo mini when the new chips come out? It'll be cheaper to buy then and will be slightly behind the performance of the newer chips (which is where the current Mac Mini lies)

No chance.

I'm betting on an Intel Core Solo 1.67ghz. Same 4x Superdrive as macbookpro, 512mb ram standard, Radeon X1300 64-128mb Graphics Card. 80gb 5400 RPM Hard Drive...

Is there a core solo chip too? or are you just guessing?

Since I have to save up or 3 or 4 months in order to afford the intel imac (my first choice at the moment) I'm hoping it'll be in that time so I can choose. If the intel mini really does have some of the wishlist features like built in ipod dock then I'll be really torn. Next keynote date? I keep hearing April the first mentioned (not in that way ;) )

April 1st is the 30 year anniversary of the founding of Apple. The next keynote is likely to be at WWDC.

Yes, the mini should be core solo, the price point of the duo at this moment is too high compared to the overall price of a mini system.

The core solo won't be ready until june at the latest. So it'll be a wait for the mac mini's I think/
