Hi. I have an Intel MacBook 5,1 (The aluminum one) running OSX Snow Leopard. Today, I needed to access the "/dev" folder for something. When I tried to go to /dev using Finder's "Go to Folder", it told me that no such directory existed. So I revealed hidden files and navigated to the root of my HD. There, I found a symbolic link to the dev folder, but when I clicked it, OSX told me that the alias was broken. Where did my /dev folder go?

As far as I can remember, I have never previously needed direct access to /dev, so I have no idea if it has ever been there.
