Is there a way to run Avid Xpress Pro on an Intel macpro running windows xp sp2?
I recently upgraded to Avid Xpress Pro 5.whatever...50$, so that I could run it on the latest version of OSX 10.4.whatever... Later in the month I finally got a new machine, Intel Macro only to find out that Avid does not support Intel macs...ridiculous. As anyone who has Avid Xpress Pro can tell you, Avids support for that particular product is sub par, making you find answers and support through email and their website rather than allowing you to talk to a human support line. This makes getting answers time consuming and problematic. Especially when your carefully formulated, grammatically correct, two paragraph email detailing specific information you need answered is replied by a generic response saying "Avid does not support the workaround inquired about at this time please visit the forums." There are several threads on Avids forums about this but none that really adress Macro use specifically or answer my questions... Is it possible?, Is it easy to do?, Is it worth it?
If anyone has any information on the issue I would greatly appreciate it.
