Hi

This question has probably been asked numerous times before.

I have a MB 13" UB bought in Sept 08 running 10.5, I've not upgraded to 10.6 but will be doing after I get an SSD

So there's Vertex EX, Agility, Vertex Turbo, or just plain Vertex or the Intel 160GB Second Gen?

I'm confused, which one should I got for.

I assume with the Intel drive, I wont have to use TRIM or wipe it often?

I have two Vertex, one in my MacBook and one in my X340.
In a real world scenario, I think that you wont feel much difference no matter what you choose - only benchmarks show the strength/weaknesses of each drive.
The Vertex seems to be a little cheaper.

Thanks, it boggles the mind with the number of SSD's on offer at the moment!

The Crucial 128GB is a little cheaper than the Vertex & lets not forget the Corsair, decisions decisions!

Thanks Adam, going to give that a read.

These are the prices I have collected so far...

(I may have missed some but price is a contributing factor for me so this gives me an overview somewhat)

Crucial 128GB £213.95
Intel 160GB SSDSA2MH160G2C1 £318
OCZ Vertex 120 £233
OCZ Summit 120 £250

I'm wondering if the Vertex is worth that little bit more, but the Summit too.

I read on here some time ago that you should look for an 'SLC' SSD not a 'MLC'. The 'MLC' drives are slower. Not sure if this helps?
