Since the demise of intel power gadget, I installed the command line intel PCM on MacOS 15.3.2. Great step-by-step to install here.
Reading the TEMP explanation for Intel PCM tool it would seem temps (far right column) are a long way from the max temp (Tjunction for my CPU is 88ºC = max temp allowed at processor die). But the istat temps in the top menu seem more realistic being (CPU cores, proximity & core 1 temp). I'm confused as PCM reports ~30ºC degrees headroom before I reach 0 = max temp.
