There's been some news that Apple will still sell new Intel based Macs next year in 2021 alongside the M1 processor Macs. The transition period to Apple Silicon is supposed to last about 2 years. It's likely that there will be support for Rocket Lake CPUs with LGA 1200 socket, but does anyone know if Apple will go beyond and release 12th Gen Intel processor Macs based on the 10nm process with LGA 1700 socket? Alder Lake is supposed to go on sale some time around Q3 of 2021.
