I primarily just store a lot of music/photos, use iTunes, iPhoto, Safari, Word, Spotify


I have a late 2010 Macbook Pro 13" base model
 
Your computer can only support 3 Gb/s SATA.

So the read and write speed of the SSD will be capped at that rate.

Still, you will notice an improvement over the traditional HDD.
