I have a Unibody Macbook I bought early this year. It's a fantastic little machine! It replaced my ageing PowerBook G4 - I got the 2.4Ghz model and I upped the RAM to 4Gb, so it seems to fly to me - a huge upgrade!

I specifically chose this instead of the 15" as I figured it was basically a pro model, and the size is awesome. Turns out Apple thought so too! ;)

Anyway - I was looking at the lovely new Intel SSDs - the 2nd Gen ones, out last week. I thought about it and realised there was just no way at all I could justify buying one.
So I ordered one anyway. 160Gb. Feck it!

It's incredible - it's like there was a whole different type of performance lag that I wasn't aware of, and it's just disappeared.

I've benchmarked in Geekbench and I get a 3731 - it seems huge looking at the site, but I never ran Geekbench before the upgrade.

So my question is, has anyone else got one of these things, did you benchmark beforehand and what's it done to your numbers?!
