Intel video decoder and nvidia

Hi Guys !
Is it possible to use build-in video decoder inside intel CPU (like h.264) on iMac that have dedicated nvidia graphic?
Can I use both of them one from Intel CPU and other from Nvidia? or Intel GPU is completely disabled on this version of mac.
