Hello everyone,

Can I get a quick survey of people who installed Intel X-25M and Firmware 1.7 on 2009 MBPs? Please mention if you had any problems or no problems at all. Thank you!

Josh

13" MBP here, 160GB X25-M with firmware 1.7. Nil problems here. Updated before i installed the drive, had nil problems with the stock drive either.

I got Corsair P128 with Firmware 1.7. The SSD is detected and working fine. But I got random freeze several times a day. I thought Corsair P128 uses Samsung controller which shall be 100% compatible with my 15" MBP 2.53GHz. The SSD will go on ebay soon....:(

I have an x25-m in both of my MBP's but there's no such thing as firmware 1.7 for them...

Edit: oh.. you mean SMC firmware update 1.7 for the 13" and 15" MBP.... Then yes.. my 13" is on SMC 1.7 with an x25-m and has no issues..

Oh no. I just ordered the P128 for my mid 2009 mbp.
I was hoping it would play nice with the 1.7 firmware.

X-25M here, working fine with the 1.7 update, had random quick freezes at first but once i turned off the sudden motion sensor i havent had one hicup
