just a simple question:

i'm going to buy one of those ssd, and i have a macbook3,1 (the 2.0GHz one with gm965)...

will the mbr booting capability continue working even while using it?

not having it means that i'll not be able anymore to boot normal disc (the iso9660 ones... non-hfs), or (usb) drives without guid and blessing... this means no windows and no linux (except through grub-efi)
in practice only macosx install discs and refit discs would be able to boot

i'm asking this since i bought a oczvertex 30gb, and it does have this nasty problem(keep in mind: it doesn't manifest itself in newer macbooks)... i'm going to put the vertex in my new desktop pc, while substituting it in the macbook with the larger (and hopefully more compatible) intel ssd

thank you very much:)
