Hi Guys
quick question, Will an Intel x25 160 G1 still work well in macbook pro. I don't use windows in my mac. I know the G2 has trim, but is that only good if you use windows in your mac. There are some great deals on g1's right now. Please if anybody is using G1 let me know how its working in your macbook pro.
thanks

as of right now, there's very little advantage to using a G2 over a G1 on a Mac. If you can get a good deal, go for it :)

...

yeah its a good deal, there are newer SSDs coming out that have much better write speeds than the intel drive but the intel is still one of the best SSDs out there. If cost is an issue then the intel g1 is great, if you want something slightly better it will cost alot more than that (like the owc mercury extreme 100gig which is $399 and you probobly won't notice a differance in performance except in benchmarks)

hi guys
thanks for quick reply's and all your help. just bought the x25 160gb G1.
let you know how it works out.
thanks again

was this a private sale, or is there somewhere the rest of us can pick one up for $300? I'd be all over it :)
