Hello all MP7.1 users. I have a question about the performance of the W-3275M - 28core CPU. I upgraded from my 12 core CPU. In MacOS 15.2 iStat menus shows the processor clock around 4 - 4.2 GHz, in Windows 10 I have a maximum frequency of 3.2 GHz, that's for all cores. I tried using the ThrottleStop application to set the maximum frequency to 4.4 GHz, but it still stayed at 3.2 GHz for all cores. Is this normal behavior or is there something wrong with my CPU? Intel lists a base frequency of 2.5 GHz for all cores, 3.4 GHz TurboBoost for all cores and 4.6 GHz for one core. I tried adjusting the power scheme in various ways and nothing changes. Thank you.

Try QuickCPU and see if that works. I've noticed issues over the years with throttlestop and QuickCPU has worked when TS wasn't.

So I tried the QuickCPU application and the CPU state management still behaves the same. I think it will be because the 3275 has 28 cores and TDP of 205, which simply does not allow higher frequencies. I put my 12 core processor back in for a test and it behaves similarly, only the processor clock is 4ghz for all cores, but it also only has 12.
