I have a Mac Pro that when in the finder window and sometimes with Safari and Entourage will sometimes (Few times a week) will begin to scroll up or down the page uncontrollably. It is not affected by shutting down and restarting the program or by running the disk utility to repair permissions. If I shut down and reboot, the problem is corrected- at least for a while.
Has anyone heard of such a thing? Any thoughts as to what causes it, and more importantly, how do I correct this so it doesn't happen anymore??

As point665 hinted, I too would assume it is a mouse problem. try using a different one and see if the problem goes away.

Thanks for the suggestion. Its a Logitech MX1000. I'll switch mice and see if that helps.
