Hey there,
I'm in search of a way to create interactive pdfs with an element of security to them.
The goal is to generate a reliable, secure receipt. We want to send users a multipage pdf document. The last page in this document will be a dedicated 'receipt page.' Name and address info needs to be entered into a form on this page. Ideally there should be a way to make each page unique, perhaps with a number or something like that.
On the form there will be a button that says 'acknowledge receipt'. When the user hits 'acknowledge receipt', the pdf should be uneditable. A copy of the document with the completed form should be emailed to a predetermined address with an accurate date and time stamp. It might even be better to just send a copy of the receipt page instead of the whole document.
The user should also be able to save the pdf, but not edit it after they hit 'acknowledge receipt'.
Anyway, security is an issue as these should be legally binding documents.
Is Adobe LiveCycle the app for this? My employer is looking for a software solution to tackle this, but I am feeling like it'll involve some custom programming, regardless. Anyway I think they want to keep custom programming down to a minimum. If anyone has any experience with this kind of thing and wants to toss in their two cents, I'd be grateful.
Thank you!
