Is it possible to use the Core 2 Duo wireless card in an Core Duo iMac? I don't have the new service manual so I can't try to figure it out myself.

why not? if it fits, then it works. just make sure u have the right drivers

Well upgrading to 10.4.8 or higher should give all Macs the proper drivers.
