Apple are currently offering UK customers a deal whereby you can buy a new mac and pay it off over 6 months interest free. Purchases must be made by January 6, which is an interesting date...

Apple does this all the time with the US customers too. From working in a Authorized Dealer you come across all the promos. I believe this is coming to the US again soon unless its already here. I checked at work lately. Same as cash is usually a big hit promo because alot of people cant pay for a computer right then but if they had 3 or 6 months worth of paychecks they could do it without any interest. Last time I checked this promo in the US lasted 3 months, not 6.

They seem to offer the interest free purchase plans prior to the release of new upgrades. Mine was for 180 days, offered prior to MWNY '02. Said no expiration date on its use as long as purchase directly from Apple.
