When I got my iPod Touch today, I charged it until full, then drained it all the way down again.

After I hooked it up for the second time, the little battery icon in the corner kept on switching from the lightning bolt to the plug icon at a very fast rate (3 times every second).

After it was charging for a few hours it went away, but I'd still like to know if anyone thinks this means there is something wrong with my Touch, so what do you guys think?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Maybe it's a glitch? Did you try restarting the iPod or leaving it off for a couple minutes, then turning it back on? It's worth trying. Also, make sure the connector is all the way in. If you're still having problems, you might want to get it replaced or ask someone at the Genius bar.
