It was replacement card time for a dated Mastercard, except I never received the new card. I called to get a new one, and since the replacement was lost in the mail, I elected to get a new card number. I just got a notice on my Apple watch that Apple Pay had automatically defaulted to my Amazon Prime card, with the cancellation of the Mastercard number. Very nice. I might not have remembered to change the default.

It did the same thing for me when my credit union’s debit card had expired and I was waiting for the new card, that was shipped out late.
