Well that's really something. Software or hardware glitches can happen anytime. They were probably running some hardware-heavy or software processing-heavy application to cause that. And I remembered seeing some pictures where projected images of people were shown around the bird's nest. This projector was probably part of that. Too bad it had to show the ugly face of the BSOD
 
Maybe it is time for the IOC and the Olympics to switch to Macs. But I would have to say that it was an IT guy who spit his drink out over the computer at the sight of LiNing being raised up, haha.

The official languages for the Olympics are French, English, and the hosting country's predominate language, if different than French and English.
 
Found it out, it was the only real excusable way for Microsoft to get around the IOC's policy of no advertising on Olympic venues. :D Microsoft gave them a crapload of computers knowing that this would happen to at least one of the ones powering a screen.:D
 
When Apple strikes Windows....

I snapped this pic during a tour of the recently opened Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Sorry it's so blurry, but there were a ton of people and I just happened to see the error on the screen and snapped a really quick photo. I didn't get to read it until I got home and it's about an update that's available for Safari, iTunes and Quicktime. I thought it was pretty funny!
