I’m on a iPhone 14 PM iOS 16.0.1

I had iMessaged a friend that I was on my way to get the latest Covid booster.

So about 25 minutes later they responded and said “ Remember to rotate your arm to help with any arm soreness”. So I responded and said Thanks I’ll rotate my arm.

I closed the messages app. I then got a pop up from the reminders app saying ask Siri to to set reminder to rotate my arm. I never had this happen before. Did the word Remember in my friend’s iMessage trigger it?

Siri might be getting "smarter" (or "dumber" depending on one's point of view). Might solve the problem by turning off Settings > Siri > Siri Suggestions, cleared up some "nags" I was getting (see end).

Never seen that one, but can't think of a time I've received a message with he word "remember" in it. And I've disabled a lot of Siri as has not been a value-add for me, more of a nuisance.

Apple has really messed up Siri with 16, from what I've experienced. Search used to be pretty straight forward, but with 16, the search results are a lot less useful (order-wise: getting lots of fluff before showing a Calendar or Contacts entry) and had to disable a couple of extra switches (see above and Show Recents) to get a bit more cleaned up results.
