Hi all,
First post, but have been lurking for a good year or so!
So I went to the apple store regent street today on day 13 of owning my iPhone to see what they thought of my gps problems. I very rarely get it working properly even just with mast triangulation and I live in a fairly leafy part of south west London and work on the city. I would have imagined I would have got pretty good reception etc...
Anyway, I went to the store looking to see if I could get a swap because other iPhone users in London seem to have better experiences than me and I know blackberries can be more responsive.
The first answer was to tell me to book at the genius bar and come back, but when I explained I was hoping to discuss gps issues, the lady said that it isn't working at the moment properly, that they're sending memos out (not sure who to...) and that a fix is on the way, although no idea when.
This is the first I have heard of this officially, could mean 2.1, could mean a fob off to get me to book .
Anywyay, thought I would share,as it seems a fairly common complaint, albeit in many different forms...
Whatever the outcome, I'm lovng my iPhone (typing on it now!) but would love for gps to work properly for mead well.
All the best,
LB
