This was supposedly found in the final GM release of Tiger, hidden in the system folder (probably in Menu Extras in CoreServices). Can anyone confirm/Deny if this is for the iPod?

It would be cool if I could use my iPod to sync my various Macs instead of having a .Mac account.

Interesting indeed – it always looked to be a killer feature. If it was going to be usable in Tiger though I'm sure we would have heard about it in Apple's publicity. But the fact that elements of it remain hidden away (assuming the screenshots are real, of course) suggests the idea isn't completely dead and buried just yet...

Another ploy by Apple to withhold useful features for the next 10.5 OSX release.

Apple probably has mapped out the features for OSX for the next ten years.

So Lacero, it is indeed in Tiger? I don't have a developer copy anymore to boot in, but the last time I was in CoreServices that was not in the menu bar, so I don't know.

This feature was supposed to be in every single OS X release from 10.0 onward.

It's vaporware for some reason.

This may not have anything to do with "Home on iPod", but simply a way to sync your user's home folder on several machines, e.g. your Macs at location Home, Work and maybe even a portable for the Road... keeping those two or more home folders sync'ed would be awsome...
