Time Machine is now working on my external HD connected to my AirPort. And I didn't have to do anything for it to work (no Connect to Server or "touching" files in the Terminal).
I just set it up while it's connected to the computer, then moved it to the AirPort, and when I connected to it as a user (not as Guest) via the Finder, Time Machine automatically sees it and starts backing up.
Time Machine seemed to start anew, backing up my whole hard drive.
However, if I access the HD directly, I see all of the backups since Friday.
And furthermore, if I invoke Time Machine, I noticed that I can't go back in time with the Time Machine interface. It just shows "Today - Now" and nothing before that.
So while you CAN have Time Machine back up to an AirPort Disk, it is not fully functional.
