Not a rant or anything, just interesting how you can't use a retail disk of snow leopard (10.6 and/or 10.6.3) to install snow leopard on lion shipped macbook computers. I guess it is due to kernal differences or whatnot (not too sure specifically). I discovered this while trying to boot from SL disk.

Guess Apple really wants users to either stick with lion or have them go out of their way to get SL on their machines.

This by no means is my way of saying SL > lion. I just prefer SL's expose and spaces.

EDIT: For those of you who want to go back to SL from a Lion shipped computer, you'll need at least 10.6.6 to do so from those gray disks or a retail disk. Otherwise the 2011 computers will reject them. Luckily I found one =).

EDIT 2: Everything works great! SL ftw! haha

EDIT 3: I guess many people aren't in the same situation as me judging by the lack of comments.
