Hey guys,

I'm interested in gathering information about the ability to use the iPhone to control wired accessories (as an on/off switch, voltage control, etc.). I'm fairly versed in application development, but I have very little knowledge as to how to interface an application with hardware actions. I'm sure it can be done as I've seen iphones used as car stereo decks and such, but I just don't know how to interface the physical with the software. If you have any insight as to how I could use the iphone as a physical on/off switch, or modify voltage of a connector let me know.

Thanks
