I have a Parrot MKi9200 handsfree kit in my car and an iPhone 4 (4.0.1) and iPhone 3G S (4.1).
When my 4.1 3G S is connected to the Parrot by the parrot's dock cable, and an incoming call comes in, the TDMA/interference noise is horrific - really really loud and unbearable.
When it's connected using Bluetooth audio and a call comes in, there is no interference at all, everything works fine.
My 4.0.1 iPhone 4 does not get an interference at all, whether connected by dock or Bluetooth audio.
I know the Parrot is not faulty as it works flawlessly with my iPhone 4 on 4.0.1. I guess it COULD be a 4.1 issue, but no-one on the Parrot forums is reporting a similar issue with 4.1 (indeed everyone there is praising 4.1 to the hilt, as it fixes all sorts of other issues. This is, in fact, the reason I updated my 3G S to 4.1).
I tried a soft reset of the phone, no luck. I also did a factory reset of the Parrot, no luck.
EDIT: my girlfriend has just told me she was driving the car a moment ago with the 3G S connected to the Parrot via Bluetooth, no cables at all, playing music via Bluetooth and got the loud interference noise over the speakers. So i guess my theory about my dock connector is wrong.
That leaves me with the conclusion that the issues lies with my 3G S's dock port. I've tried cleaning it with a cotton bud, blowing in it, etc. One other thing happened that makes me believe this - a couple of times I've had the dreaded "This accessory is not designed to work with iPhone, you make experience interference" message when there's been NOTHING plugged in.
Any ideas?
Thanks
