So as I was doing some major network fixing for my home Wi-Fi network that runs off of an Airport Extreme(the old UFO one) I found the interference robustness setting unchecked. A couple of years back I had thought about turning this setting on because of the major connection issues I was having, but ended up forgetting completely about it. Now as I went in to change the Multicast Rate to boost up speeds, I also decided to check the interference robustness setting. On my MacBook Pro I was screaming compared to my old settings, but as I wanted to log on to my iPad 2 and read up on some of The Daily I could not connect to the internet. I was connecting to the Airport, but nothing was loading.

So I went back in knowing the only settings I had changed were the Multicast Rate and Interference Robustness. I unchecked the Interference Robustness option and my iPad started working like normal with improved speeds like the MacBook Pro.

If you have had this issue, was this the same fix for you and if you are having trouble with the iPad connecting to the internet try turning off the Robustness and let me know if it works.
